It sounds like the Texas student accused of stabbing 14 classmates on Tuesday was even more unbalanced than police first realized. Dylan Quick told investigators he has fantasized about cannibalism, necrophilia, and cutting off people's faces and wearing them like masks since age eight, reports KHOU-TV. Police also said they had searched the home of Quick's parents and confiscated a Hannibal Lecter mask, an animal dissection kit, and books about serial killings. According to the warrant, Quick "sharpened various instruments such as a hairbrush and pencils to use as weapons."
Also from the warrant: "Mr. Quick stated that last week he research the internet about mass stabbings on his personal computer." Meanwhile, his attorney says that Quick doesn't fully understand the seriousness of the charges he faces, according to another KHOU report. 'He was able to talk to me, but he is also telling me things that (need to be) evaluated," says the lawyer. KHOU adds that Quick reportedly disappeared in 2011, sending a text to his parents threatening to commit suicide "if I continue to live at your house"; he was later found unharmed on the Lone Star campus.
