LeBron James continued to improve upon his already amazing season by scoring a season-high 51 points in a 132-124 Cleveland overtime victory over the Memphis Grizzlies. James, who scored 25 points in the fourth quarter and overtime, shot 18-for-28 from the floor. The King's best scoring night ever came in March 2005 when he dropped 56 on Toronto, reports the Associated Press.
UConn product Rudy Gay, who finished with 30 points, helped the Grizzlies rally from a 10-point fourth quarter deficit. He hit back-to-back three pointers to briefly give his team a 106-104 lead with 2:55 left. However Memphis still needed Juan Carlos Navarro to hit a three with 10.3 seconds remaining in regulation to force overtime. (More basketball stories.)
