If you saw the oddly staged photos of Tiger Woods and Lindsey Vonn and thought, "Huh. That seems like a weird way to go public with your relationship," well, you could be on to something. Multiple sources tell the New York Post the whole thing is just "a carefully crafted PR move." One calls the pairing "a match made in marketing heaven." What Tiger gets out of it: He finally starts to look more sympathetic. What Vonn gets out of it: She finally becomes a household name. "They know the sponsors are watching," the source says.
Another source says Tiger always hoped he could win ex-wife Elin Nordegren back after his cheating scandal, so "this is an unusual move." As for Vonn—who, amusingly, mocked Woods' sex scandal back in 2010—she's not bothered by the golfer's past, one of her friends tells People. Tiger "has explained his side and owned up to what he did wrong. He has been honest with her," the source says. He "makes Lindsey happy. She isn't concerned what others think. She trusts her instincts. She is very comfortable with the relationship." (More Tiger Woods stories.)
