If Kansas University's 16-0 record had been chalked up mostly to luck before yesterday's game, a decisive rout of the Oklahoma Sooners removed any doubt that the Jayhawks deserve their No. 3 ranking. Brandon Rush led the 85-55 drubbing with 16 points and nine rebounds, shooting 4-for-7 from three-point range, reports the Kansas City Star.

Darnell Jackson chipped in 17 points and eight boards, and Darrell Arthur added 14 and eight for the Jayhawks. When Oklahoma's freshman phenom Blake Griffin went out with an injured knee six minutes in, even Longar Longar's 21 points weren't enough to keep the Sooners in it. The question now is how Kansas sizes up against fellow undefeateds Memphis and North Carolina. (More NCAA basketball stories.)
