Chicago, led by Andres Nocioni's 26 points, improved to 5-3 under interim coach Jim Boylan with a victory in Philadelphia tonight, reports the AP. The Sixers had an 18-point first-quarter lead but managed to blow that entire margin by halftime, when they trailed by five. Samuel Dalembert had a big game for Philly with 21 points, 20 rebounds. Elsewhere:

  • A day which started badly for Atlanta by having a previous win nullified, got worse as the visiting Washington Wizards came in and won in overtime 102-98. Joe Smith had 35 points in the loss.
  • LeBron James had his typical 31 points but also added a career-high 19 rebounds as Cleveland held off Charlotte in double overtime.
