As expected, President Obama nominated chief of staff Jack Lew to replace Tim Geithner as Treasury secretary today. After ticking off the challenges of the first term, Obama said Geithner would go down in history as "one of our finest secretaries of the Treasury," reports Business Insider. As for Lew, he "knows that every number on a page, every dollar we budget, decision we make, has to be an expression of our values." And regarding the burning question of Lew's loopy signature:
- "Jack assures me he is going to work to make at least one letter legible so as not to debase our currency," says the president.
