Glenn Beck Rebrands the Blaze as Libertarian

Glenn Beck is jumping back into the fray, announcing plans to take the Blaze and recast it with a Libertarian spin. He'll also be opening three foreign bureaus, starting a nightly news magazine called For the Record, and will relocate his New York staff to a building that will "send a very clear message to everyone in New York... it will piss everyone off," reports BuzzFeed. For the Record will cover terrain "that no one else, quite frankly, has the balls to do," says the cryptic Beck.

Beck thinks television news has turned into political extremists on both sides just "yelling at each other" and promises his network won't "play in that crazy space." A teaser of the nightly program showed conversations about non-crazy-space topics like how the NSA is turning America into a "surveillance state." Buzzfeed speculates that it's an attempt to grab a young conservative audience, but Beck maintains the move is a reflection of his own politics.
