The Kansas City Chiefs took to their field in Arrowhead Stadium today, reports CBS News, just more than 24 hours after linebacker Jovan Belcher turned a gun on himself at the facility after he killed the 22-year-old mother of his infant daughter. "We have a lot of players who were struggling, people who had spent countless hours with Jovan over the last several years," said Chiefs' chairman Clark Hunt, who said he left it to Coach Romeo Crennel, who witnessed Belcher's suicide, whether to play today's game. "I know it's going to be difficult for them today." Before the game began, the crowd was asked to observe a moment of silence for victims of domestic violence and their families. Belcher's name was not mentioned, notes the AP. (More Jovan Belcher stories.)
