The father of the two children found stabbed to death, allegedly by their nanny, in a luxury NYC apartment is Kevin Krim, CNBC's general manager of digital content, reports Reuters. Their mother, Marina Krim, kept a detailed blog about her happy family life, and wrote a heartbreaking post about the younger of the two stabbing victims just hours before she came home to find him and his sister bleeding in an empty bathtub. Two-year-old "Leo speaks in the most adorable way," she wrote on the blog. Police say Marina Krim came home with her other child, a 3-year-old girl who had been at swimming practice, when she found the kids.
Meanwhile the nanny, Yoselyn Ortega, age 50, remains in sedated and in critical condition after allegedly slitting her own throat with the knife she used on the children, reports AP. Police have been unable to charge her, but they are hoping to interview her later today. The blog reveals that the Krims were very careful in selecting a nanny Marina called "Josie," even visiting her family in the Dominican Republic, though it's not clear Josie and Yoselyn Ortega are one and the same, Fox News reports. Ortega's niece says her aunt "loved those kids," but had been acting strangely and seemed "kind of nervous lately." (More nanny stories.)
