Chris Pronger scored what proved to be the game-winning goal on a power play with less than 15 seconds remaining in the second period to give Anaheim a 2-1 win over Columbus. Ryan Getzlaf scored the Ducks' other goal in the first period. Jean-Sebastien Giguere had a superb performance for Anaheim, stopping 26 of 27 shots, reports AP.

The only goal Giguere allowed was Andrew Murray’s first career marker. The 26-year-old was an emergency call-up on Dec. 27 and was playing in just his third NHL game after being chosen 242nd overall in the 2001 draft. The win puts the defending Stanley Cup champions in sole possession of the eighth playoff spot in the Western Conference for the moment. (More hockey stories.)
