Along with picking up an endorsement from Herman Cain, Newt Gingrich was busily plugging his plan to colonize the moon yesterday, reports Politico. "We will not turn to our grandchildren and say, 'We are the generation that let the Chinese dominate space,'" Gingrich told an audience in West Palm Beach last night. "We've always had dreams. We've gone West. We invented the airplane. We invented the mass-produced car. We built the Panama Canal." Gingrich called the plan appropriate for "a big country," and vowed to give "my life, my fortune, and my sacred honor" to lead it forward. (More Newt Gingrich 2012 stories.)
