A Florida A&M University drum major who died after being hazed was indeed killed by that hazing, and his death has been ruled a homicide. The Orange-Osceola Medical Examiner's Office today revealed that Robert Champion's death was the result of "blunt force trauma sustained during a hazing incident." The autopsy "revealed extensive contusions of his chest, arms, shoulder, and back with extensive hemorrhage" and signs of "a significant rapid blood loss" stemming from the injuries he sustained, reports the Orlando Sentinel. Sheriff's investigators plan to meet with the state attorney's office to determine whether criminal charges should be filed. (More Florida A&M stories.)
