Politics | Nancy Pelosi Pelosi: I've Got Dirt on Newt And says Democrats are dying to face him By Kevin Spak Posted Dec 5, 2011 11:17 AM CST Copied Newt Gingrich and Nancy Pelosi are seen while taping a message for the Alliance for Climate Protection, April 3, 2008, in Washington. (AP Photo/Gingrich Productions, Callista Gingrich) Nancy Pelosi is hoping her former climate change pal Newt Gingrich wins the GOP nomination—so she can drop a ton of dirt on him. In an interview with Talking Points Memo, Pelosi said she and other Democrats were positively giddy about the prospect of candidate Newt. “I like Barney Frank’s quote the best, where he said ‘I never thought I’d live such a good life that I would see Newt Gingrich be the nominee of the Republican party,” she said. She then hinted that she had some serious opposition research ready to go on Gingrich. “One of these days we’ll have a conversation about Newt Gingrich. I know a lot about him,” she said. “I served on the investigative committee that investigated him, four of us locked in a room in an undisclosed location for a year. A thousand pages of his stuff.” She said she’d go into more detail “when the time’s right.” Read These Next Jimmy Fallon's pasta sauces are now kaput thanks to Epstein files.
