Anita Perry made headlines yesterday when she complained that she and her husband had been "brutalized" of late because of their faith. (Her husband supported her statement today on ABC.) She was back in headline-making mode today, this time blaming the Obama administration for her son's job loss, reports CNN. "He resigned his job two weeks ago because he can't go out and campaign with his father because of SEC regulations," she said. "He has a wife ... he's trying to start a business. So I can empathize."
Then, to complete the point: "My son lost his job because of this administration." The Perrys' son, Griffin, reportedly worked at Deutsche Bank, and new SEC rules limit the political doings of investment advisers. Debate continues, meanwhile, on the jobs plan Rick Perry unveiled today, in which he called for expanded domestic drilling and reduced EPA regulations. Here's a yay from Tina Korbe at Hot Air ("common-sense proposals that would create 1.2 million jobs") and a nay from Michael Levi at the Council on Foreign Relations (the numbers are "unrealistic").
