France may not want him to use it to return home and mount a run for the presidency, but Dominique Strauss-Kahn has his passport back as of today, reports the New York Post. "I can confirm that the New York Police Department and the Office of the District Attorney returned Mr. Strauss-Kahn's passport," said a member of Strauss-Kahn's legal team.

The former IMF chief is now free to move about the world for the first time since his arrest three months ago. But while the AP notes he's said he "can't wait to go back" to France, Strauss-Kahn says he has things to take care of before that—one of which might be fighting the lawsuit he's facing from the hotel maid who accused him of sexual assault.
