Three men have been charged in the July 7, 2005 bombings of the London mass-transit system. The suspects, Waheed Ali, Sadeer Saleem, and Mohammed Shakil, are accused of conspiring with the terrorists who blew themselves up in the tube and on a bus, killing 52. Surveillance cameras recorded the men doing what authorities believe was reconnaissance or a dry run.
The accused were arrested last month, two of them while attempting to board a plane to Pakistan. Officials stress that the investigation continues. "I firmly believe that there are other people who have knowledge they have not shared with us," says Peter Clarke, head of London's counter-terrorism squad. (More terrorism stories.)
