The Timberwolves' lineup looks awfully reminiscent of last year's Celtics, and Minnesota's defeat at the hands of the Nuggets last night was a reminder of how awful that Boston team could be. The Wolves looked impressively solid for such a youthful team—until the fourth quarter saw Denver outscore them 25-14, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
"You have to be professional in the fourth quarter," said Rashad McCants, who put up a team-high 23 points for Minnesota. The more experienced double threat of Allen Iverson and Carmelo Anthony ended with 24 and 33 points, respectively, Iverson making 15 of 16 free-throw attempts. "I could see them winning some games," said Iverson of the young Timberwolves. (More NBA stories.)
